Pavements - stolen slabs

Bolton Council's surveying van

Bolton Council is responsible for the maintenance of all adopted pavements throughout the borough. A team of highway inspectors visit these pavements at frequent intervals and programme any works to repair, or make safe potential hazards, that do not fit within Council tolerance.

Although these highway inspectors visit a location at regular intervals, we still require members of the public to bring to our attention problems, such as pavements with missing / stolen paving slabs.

If you have any information regarding the theft of paving slabs including, for example, names, addresses or vehicle registration details, please help the Council by providing this information when contacting the department.

To report missing or stolen pavement slabs to the Council, please contact our Streetcare helpline using the contact details, which can be found by clicking on the contact details tab above with your left mouse button.

Please note we are currently developing a new do it online feature to enable our customers to contact the department via this webpage. This new service will be available shortly.
