The Centre is located in the Little Lever and Darcy Lever ward of Bolton. It is a dual purpose building on Herbert Street and accommodates the children's centre activities each weekday and a youth club two evenings a week.
What services can parents and children access at the centre?
The centre offers a range of integrated services for families with children under the age of five years. These services are referred to as the ‘core offer’ and include:
- Antenatal /postnatal care
- Health services
- Links to Job Centre Plus
- Education and childcare
- Family Support Information on a wide range of services
Does the centre have a nursery on site?
No, however linked nursery provision is provided in partnership with a local private nursery, Jelly Babies which is located less than a mile away from the centre. For further information on daycare and available places contact the nursery on 01204 412756
Jelly Babies was judged to be ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2010.
Are there any other services available at the centre that parents can access?
Health Visitors are co located in the centre and midwives provide an anti-natal clinic service.
Youth Service delivers a youth club some evenings for 13-19 year olds. In addition play services runs a kids club some twilights in the school holidays for 4-13 yr old children
Childminders have a weekly drop-in.
