Health and Safety at Work / Health and Safety Enforcement

The Health and Safety Unit is responsible for ensuring that the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work  Act 1974 etc.  as well as associated legislation and regulations are met within commercial premises across Bolton.  

What we do:

  • Carry out inspections of commercial premises,
  • Investigate complaints about commercial premises and working conditions,
  • Investigate work related accidents and ill health,
  • Provide health and safety advice and information,
  • Register businesses and certain business activities and their plant and equipment.

Construction Safety
