Enquire is a live question and answer service available for free 24 hours a day.
Click on the Enquire link listed on the right under 'External links', then simply type and send your question, you can then choose to chat live with a librarian or ask for a reply later by email.
Availability
Monday to Saturday 9am - 5pm the service is staffed by librarians from the UK collaborative of over 80 public libraries throughout England and Scotland. Outside of these hours, you will be connected to one of our partners in the USA.
How the service works
The service works like instant messaging or a chat room, allowing you to put questions to trained staff who can help you, just as you would if you were talking to them face-to-face or on the telephone. There is also an email service if you don't need to have the answer straight away, or are accessing the service using a screen reader.
