The council publishes a whole range of publications about its services and the borough.
Leaflets and booklets about council services are available from information points, from departments or can be downloaded from this website.
The Bolton Plan explains what the council’s aims and objectives are and what it is doing to achieve them. The wider Bolton: Our Vision 2007-2017 community strategy sets out how the key organisations and agencies, such as the council, health agencies and police are working together to improve life for everyone in Bolton. The Bolton Plan is the council’s commitment to meeting the aims of the Bolton: Our Vision strategy.
'The council also produces Visit Bolton, the official tourism guide for Bolton. The guide features information on what to see and do and where to stay. The information is also available online.
'Bolton Life!' is the one place you can find out about everything going on in Bolton. Available as a quarterly printed guide and online via the up-to-the-minute website, it provides everything you need to know about going out and about in the borough – from music and drama to family events and sport. The website is updated by event organisers so it's always fresh and up to date; if you hold events in Bolton and would like to promote them here, then simply register to become a member online, add the event details and let everyone know what's happening, when and where.
Bolton Scene is the council's main way of telling the public about its services (see Downloads). Published 10 times a year, it is delivered to every household and stories about the council's key aims and what they mean for you, and the work of the council's partners.
