Bolton Adult Placement
Bolton Adult Placement (BAP) is a registered adult placement scheme offering:
- long term placements
- short term breaks
- placements to enable people to move into independent living
- Befriending Service
- Connect (for people with memory problems)
BAP delivers a range of quality adult placement services across the Bolton Borough through a network of assessed and approved adult placement carers.
Our service promotes the strengths and abilities of each individual and enables them to share in family and community life.
BAP offers services to vulnerable people over the age of 18 who may have a learning disability, a mental health problem or a physical disability, and to older people.
NAAPs
NAAPs is a UK charity that was established in 1992 to represent the interests of all those involved in adult placement (AP) and to promote high standards of practice. Membership is open to adult placement scheme managers and workers, AP carers and the people using AP services.
NAAPs North West (NW)
BAP is an active member of NAAPs NW. The NW branch is lively and informative and represents a good cross section of NW schemes.
CQC
BAP is registered as an AP scheme with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). They inspect and monitor BAP against the national minimal standards and regulations for adult placement.
BAP was last inspected in February 2009 and received an 'Excellent' rating. The report is available for download from the CQC's web site link (top right on this page).
