Bolton Council and its partners provide a wide range of services to look after you and your family.
The council is responsible for social care from looking after older people and arranging foster care of children, to services for people with learning disabilities or who have mental health problems. Its services include adapting homes and providing equipment for people with disabilities.
But it does not do this on its own and works with other agencies, such as the Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and Bolton at Home, to provide these services.
Care of a more immediate, medical nature is provided by doctors and hospitals, through the Bolton Primary Care Trust and the Bolton Hospitals NHS Trust. The council works to support these organisations, and you can find information about them here.
