The Bolton 2012 Games is a summer-long festival of sport open to all young people aged 8-14 in Bolton and the surrounding districts. The games will offer children and young people a 'taster' of all Olympic, Paralympic and Special Olympic sports.

The Bolton 2012 Games Opening Ceremony took place in Victoria Square on Wednesday 25 July. You will be able to see the Games flag above the Town Hall for the duration of the Games, until the 30 August.

The Games Anthem is titled 'Chasing Down the Sun.' The words have been written by Liverpool poet Terry Caffrey and the music written by Steve Pickett, Education Director at the Halle Orchestra.
